Compaq Airlife 100 with Android OS, Snapdragon CPU, an SSD with Touchscreen

HP is joining the smartbook game with the Airlife 100 which is running an Android OS platform and the speculation is a Snapdragon CPU, but we know that it is coming with a 16GB SSD, 3G and WiFi connectivity, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen display. The Airlife 100 is coming out swinging with 12-hour battery life which will go 10 rounds with 10 days of standby, in case you’re one of those folks who hate to switch their electronics off.

This news comes in the flurry of announcements lining up for Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week. It has been announced in partnership with Telefonica, this smartbook will be offered as a subsidized part of mobile broadband service plans in Europe and Latin America. It may well find itself renamed under the HP Mini branding when it rolls around to the US, but for now the news comes from Engadget Spanish for the news
