LG X140 Netbook gets Atom N550

LG Electronics has released an updated version of the LG X140 netbook, which was shown at the IDF 2010 conference (San Francisco, September 13-15).

Previously, the LG X140 ‘original’ netbook is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 or a 1.83GHz Intel Atom N470 processor, but newly X140 will have a 1.5GHz Atom N550 dual-core processor.

The featured of LG X140 netbook is an island keyboard type, 250GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, three USB ports, D-Sub connector for an external monitor, and SD memory card slot.

The new LG X140 is packs a 10.1-inch display with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels (instead previous model has 1366 x 768 pixels). It is pre-installed with Windows 7 OS.



NEC Lavie Light BL550/CS and BL350/CW Netbook

Besides NEC ValueStar W VW970/CS 3D all-in-one desktop, NEC has also brings a latest netbook of its LaVie Light series in Japan, called the NEC Lavie Light BL550/CS and the NEC Lavie Light BL350/CW. The first is coming with newest Atom N550 dual-core processor.

The NEC Lavie Light BL350/CW netbook has specs of a 1.83GHz Intel Atom N475 processor, integrated graphics, 1GB of memory, 250GB hard drive, and pre-loaded with Windows 7 Starter OS.

High-end of NEC Lavie Light BL550/CS is powered by a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 CPU, integrated graphics, 2GB of RAM, and 320GB HDD with Windows 7 Home Premium and Office Personal 2010 pre-installed.

The NEC Lavie Light BL550/CS notebook is sports a 10.1-inch widescreen LCD display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel, an SDXC-compatible card slot, 10/100 LAN, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, WiMAX, and three USB 2.0 ports.



Samsung NF Series Netbook and SF Series Notebook

Samsung has recently introduced six models in its NF Series and SF Series portable computers. They will be presented at the IFA Berlin 2010.

The Samsung NF Series are coming with the Samsung NF310, Samsung NF210, and Samsung NF110. The new Samsung NF Series netbook is powered by an Intel Atom N550 dual core processor, DDR3 memory, and pre-installed with Windows 7. New Samsung NF Series are provides 1366 x 768 pixel HD LED display, DLNA and a battery that enabling up to 14 hours of run time.

The Samsung SF Series is Calpella-based laptops aimed for style-conscious users that offer both function and form. The upcoming Samsung SF Series laptops are consists of Samsung SF310 (13.3-inch), Samsung SF410 (14-inch), and Samsung SF510 (15.6-inch) notebooks. They are made of a glossy ivory exterior with a mat-black interior and using light yet durable and scratch resistant materials. The Samsung SF Series notebooks are packs an Intel Core i3/i5 dual-core processor, up to 7.5 hours of battery life with Express Charging Mode, Fast Start technology that allowing super-fast booting, and Sleep & Charge USB.



HP Mini 210 and Mini 5103 Netbooks, Atom N550 option, colorful

Hewlett Packard (HP) Company has just introducing improved versions of its Mini netbook lineup, known as the HP Mini 210 and the HP Mini 5103.

Both HP models are now available of 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 dual-core processor and DDR3 memory support. It is optional Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator. But their low-end models are fitted with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 and a 1.83GHz Intel Atom N475 single-core processor.

The HP Mini 210 netbook has brings a 10.1-inch display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, an island-style keyboard, standard 6-cell battery that provides up to 10.75 hours of use, and optional GPS.

New HP Mini 210 is coming in five color options: charcoal, crimson red, lavender frost, luminous rose and ocean drive. The cost of HP Mini 210 netbook is from $329.

The HP Mini 5103 netbook can packs a 10.1-inch screen with resolution of 1024 x 600 (WSVGA) or 1366 x 768 (HD) pixels (touchscreen optional), 4-cell or 6-cell battery (up to 10.15 hours of use with 6-cell).

Furthermore, the HP Mini 5103 has received HP DayStarter, which allowing using some functions without Windows booting. It has an anodized-aluminum display enclosure that including a brushed and espresso-colored finish.



Packard Bell dot SE netbook gets Atom N550

Packard Bell has introduced new netbook of its dot series with Atom N550 powered, called the Packard Bell dot SE. The new netbook is currently listed at alltron.ch site.

The Packard Bell dot SE netbook is sports a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and pre-loaded with Windows 7 Starter OS as well as Office 2010 Starter.

New Packard Bell dot SE netbook is boasts a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 dual-core processor, GMA 3150 integrated graphics, 1GB of memory, and a 250GB hard drive.

It is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel webcam, Ethernet LAN, Wi-Fi, a 5-in-1 card reader, and a 6-cell Lithium-Ion battery that enabling up to 7.5 hours of run time. Its size is 258.8 x 24 x 184 mm and weight 1.25 kg.



LENOVO IDEAPAD S10-3 NETBOOK GETS ATOM N550

Lenovo is preparing to release an updated version of their netbook, known as the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 (model number of 06475CM). The new netbook is based on the latest Intel processor. It is one of Lenovo’s netbook with Atom N550 processor.
The Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 is boasts a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 dual-core processor that instead of Atom N450 single-core chips. New Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 netbook has already listed on Australia online store and has price range from $499 to $624 depending on configuration. It will be available starts September 7, 2010.
The new Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 can packs a 10.1-inch display with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 1.3 megapixel webcam, multiformat memory card reader, Bluetooth 2.1, and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n. It is pre-installed with Windows 7 Starter OS.


INTEL ATOM N550 NETBOOK

Intel Corporation today announced availability of new netbooks based on Atom N550 dual-core processor.
A dozen of new netbooks is already available and will be appearing in the near future in the portfolio companies including Acer, ASUS, Fujitsu, Lenovo, LG, Samsung, MSI and Toshiba.
Some models are available now and others will be released the end of this year. In particular, there is currently information about first netbook based on Atom N550, known as the Acer Aspire One D255 and the ASUS Eee PC 1015N.
The Intel Atom N550 processor has a 1.5GHz clock frequency, 1 MB (512 KB per core), and use Hyper-Threading technology that enabling handle up to four instruction core at same time, as well as DDR3-supported.


Acer Aspire One D255 Netbook with Atom N550

Acer  is recently preparing its Atom N550-powered netbook, namely the  Acer Aspire One D255. The portable mini laptop is the company’s first netbook that be powered by the Atom N550 dual core processor. The Acer Aspire One D255 is based on the Aspire One D260 model that was introduced last month.

Acer Aspire One D255 is packs a 10.1-inch CrystalBrite LED-backlit display with resolution of 1024×600 pixel, Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and a 6-cell battery. The colorful AO255 is boasts a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 processor, 1GB of memory, an Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphics, and up to a 250GB hard drive. The Acer AOD255 has brings a 93% standard-size keyboard and unfortunately, no word on release date or pricing.
